Modi must get the credit for surgical strikes: Murli Manohar Joshi

New Delhi: Senior BJP leader and local MP Murli Manohar Joshi on Friday said the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to carry out surgical strike on the terror launch pads in PoK was right and he deserves to get credit for it.

He also scoffed Rahul Gandhi’s ‘dalali’ remark, saying the Congress Vice President can even question people that why do they not produce red chillies, in a apparent reference to his comments to farmers that they want “potato factories” but as an opposition leader he cannot take a decision.

Speaking to the reporters at the Circuit House here, Joshi said former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, who led India to war in 1971 and 1965 respectively against Pakistan, had our support and got due credit for the victories, so, Modi should also get his credit.

He also elaborated about the various development work being under taken in Kanpur by him.
