Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited all the MPs of the National Democratic Alliance for a Diwali Milan in New Delhi on Monday, a day the BJP is also expected to announce its chief minister for Maharashtra.
Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, which is yet to decide on joining the government in Maharashtra, is a constituent of the NDA with one minister, Anant Geete, in Modi’s council of ministers.
Sources said BJP chief Amit Shah and other prominent office bearers of the party are also expected to attend the event, scheduled to start at 4 pm on Monday.
