Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh on their formation day.
“Blessed with natural beauty and home to wonderful people, Chhattisgarh’s progress has been noteworthy. Greetings on the state’s foundation day,” the prime minister tweeted.
“Haryana manifests the spirit of ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan’. I wish people of Haryana on their establishment day and pray for Haryana’s progress,” Modi said on Twitter.
“On Karnataka formation day, I extend my best wishes to the people of the state. May Karnataka keep scaling new heights of progress,” Modi tweeted.
“Kerala Piravi (formation day of Kerala) greetings to the people of a beautiful state that has contributed immensely to the development of our nation,” he added.
He also greeted the people of Madhya Pradesh and said the state is on its “path to development”.
While Karnataka, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh came into existence on November 1, 1956, Haryana was formed a decade later on November 1, 1966.
Chhattisgarh is a rather new state that took shape on November 1, 2000.
