Modi govt. trying to woo Muslims

New Delhi: In the last year of its term Modi government seems to be taking its slogan ‘sab ka saath sab ka vikas’ seriously.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extending Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr greetings for the first time, Home Minister Rajnath Singh prostrating in a masjid in Kashmir valley, Modi contacting Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari to discuss Muslim issues; all these indicate that Modi government want to come close to the Muslim community and it is striving for it.

According to reports union minister and senior BJP leader Vijay Goel will soon meet Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari at Jama Masjid in this connection. Shahi Imam has said that his doors are open to all for discussion. It is said that Vijay Goel is being sent by the prime minister to discuss on Muslim issues.

It must be noted that Shahi Imam had got a phone call from PMO and was asked to meet PM along with the delegation. However, Shahi Imam refused the offer saying there is no point in meeting PM along with the delegation.
