Modi govt. popularity drops down to 57 percent: Survey

New Delhi: As Narendra Modi government would be completing four years of its governance, a survey conducted by citizen engagement platform LocalCircles, showed that Modi’s popularity has been decreased to 57 percent.

In the survey conducted, 57 % people expressed their satisfaction with Modi government against 64 % in 2016. There is 7 percent drop down in the satisfaction among citizens, says an India Today report quoting the survey. One of the reasons for the decreased influence may be rising communalism during the past two years of Modi regime. According to the survey, 50 percent of respondents were satisfied with this government’s strategy of handling communal issues.

Another major concern among citizen that has been found was related to the Farm crisis. Around 47 percent of the respondents said that the condition of farmers has not improved during Modi’s rule.
