Hyderabad: Mr. S. Sudhakar Reddy, leader of Communist Party of India (CPI) condemned the Government for scrapping Article 370 of Constitution of India. He said that Modi Govt. not only put an end to special status of the people of Kashmir but it has paved way for amending the constitution.
Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad yesterday, Mr. Sudhakar Reddy said that in 1956, through Presidential Order, special status was accorded to the people of Kashmir under Article 370 and 35A.
He also said that the intention with which Govt. scrapped this provision is very horrible for which CPI condemns it vehemently.
Senior Communist leader and President of Insaaf Organization, Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha, former MP of Rajya Sabha told that this step of Govt. of India provides an opportunity for the people of Kashmir to get incited. He further told that Modi Govt. on the strength of its majority is making an attempt to usurp the rights of the people of Kashmir but it will meet with failure.
He further told that by deploying more than 38000 armed personnel into the valley, Modi Govt. is making an attempt to impose its supremacy over the people of Kashmir but it will not be successful.
CPI State General Secretary, Mr. Chada Venkat Reddy alleged that the Govt. of India is intervening in the provision of Constitution of India.
