Beijing, November 09: Chief minister Narendra Modi, who embarked upon a five-day visit to China on Tuesday, tweeted his mission is to promote Gujarat and attract Chinese investment. However, sources said, the purpose is to show how efficiently BJP-led state governments run in India.
Modi is third CM from BJP to visit China after Karnataka’s former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa and Madhya Pradesh’s Shivaraj Singh Chouhan.
According to the sources, Chouhan’s visit had got some negative publicity. So now the party has entrusted the responsibility of BJP’s image make over to Modi.
