Modi, Amit visiting Telangana soon to boost morale of party cadre

Hyderabad: To infuse confidence and boost morale of party workers upset with the rout in the recent Telangana Assembly results, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party national president Amit Shah are likely to visit the State very soon.

The BJP has evolved an action plan to face coming general elections next year in the next three to four months, party sources said. It was well-known that in spite of extensive election campaigning by the Central leaders, including the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and national party president Amit Shah, a host of Union ministers and chief ministers of BJP ruled States, the BJP could manage to win only one seat in Telangana i.e. Raja Singh retained his seat from Goshamahal Assembly constituency.

Though the BJP had contested 118 Assembly seats in the State, its candidates have lost deposits in 105 constituencies and others were able to save deposits in 13 constituencies. The party has evolved a strategy and action plan to win as many as Lok Sabha seats in the southern States, including Telangana.

In a bid to boost morale of party cadre, Amit Shah is likely to visit Telangana State on December 24 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tour program was scheduled in the first week of January.
