Modi to address rally in Gorakhpur

Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will address a massive rally in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.

Thye ‘Vijay Shankhanad Rally’ is being dubbed as the “greatest of all” rallies addressed by Modi in Uttar Pradesh so far.

On arrival in the city, the Gujarat Chief Minister will first offer prayers at the Gorakhnath temple and then head to Manbela, the rally venue.

Massive security arrangements have been made as around three lakhs people are expected to attend the rally.

Inspector General of Police (law and order) Amrendra Singh Senger told IANS that four superintendents of police (SP) rank officials, eight additional SPs and 13 deputy SPs have been deployed for supervising the BJP’s “Vijay Shankhnaad Rally”.

From Ahmedabad, Modi’s will first head to Varanasi.

After interacting with party workers at the airport, he will take a chopper to the rally in Gorakhpur.
