New Delhi, January 22: Leading modern painter Krishen Khanna today inaugurated his retrospective featuring over 120 works done over a span of over 50 years sourced from private and public collections across the country.
The exhibition that will go on till February 5 at the Lalit Kala Akademi here features paintings and drawings created by the 84-year-old that chart the evolution of India and its people through important events like the Partition.
“Krishen Khanna is the grand old man of modern art in India, who has had a profound influence on many other artists.
The exhibition reflects his views and images he lived through his life,” said Dinesh Vazirani, CEO and co-founder of Saffronart, which is hosting the exhibition.
