Ranmastpura is an old Muslim dominated area. The area assumes great importance for Quraish community as a slaughter house was functioning in the locality for more than 50 years. The slaughter house was closed under certain circumstance. However the court issued orders to restore the slaughter house on the condition of keeping it in tune with the modern technological requirement. Since it was the issue of employment of Quraish community hence immediate attention was paid to the issue soon after the issue of orders and the construction of modern slaughter house began on December 12, 2009.
While there were plans to construct the slaughter house within one year but the same was inaugurated by Mayor Hyderabad Mr. Mohammed Majid Husain after 5 years on February 23, 2014. But the slaughter house was locked soon after its inauguration and remained locked for 100 days.
