Moderate tremors of magnitude 5.7 felt in Nepal, West Bengal shaken too

Weeks after two major earthquakes, that struck within weeks, rattled the Himalayan nation, moderate tremors with magnitude 5.7 on Richter Scale were recorder on Saturday, which shook Bihar too.

The tremors were also felt in India, which includes north Bengal and Sikkim today evening at 5.05 pm.

According to the Indian Meterological Department in Sikkim, the tremor lasted for 10.5 seconds.

Meanwhile, seven mild tremors recorded near Kathmandu this morning with magnitude around 4 on the Richter Scale kept people on edge in quake-Nepal.

There were no reports of any damage or casualty from anywhere in the region.

High intensity earthquakes have already taken a large toll Bihar, with over 58 people killed in the major quake and aftershocks that had devastated Nepal on April 25 and later too and shaken most of India all the way down to Chennai.
