Hyderabad: The importance of Unani system of Medicine is recognized. It is a very ancient system of treatment. In Europe till 18 century, Bu Ali Seena’s book “Al-Khanoon” was included in the syllabus. These thoughts were expressed by noted Islamic scholar, Maulana Abdul Majid Parekh. He was inspecting the model entrance test conducted by Siasat Urdu Daily yesterday for the benefit of the candidates appearing for MD (Unani) entrance test. Maulana Abdul Majid applauded the efforts of Siasat Urdu Daily for helping the students.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily had arranged Maulana Majid’s visit. He told that Siasat has been organizing coaching for BUMS entrance test for the past 15 years. Now, coaching for MD (Unani) entrance test has been started in collaboration with Unani Medicine Association under the supervision of Hakeem Syed Ghousuddin former Advisor (Unani), Govt. of A.P. He explained the techniques of attempting the test in a successful way.
More than 46 candidates appeared for the model test. The coaching is being organized at Media Plus Auditorium, Gun Foundry.
Present on this occasion were Dr. Abdur Rahman Khan, Dr. MA Lateef Siddiqui, Dr. Khaja Badaruddin Siddiqui, Dr. Masood Wakil Quraishi, Dr. Rafi Haider Shakeeb, and Dr. Vikhar Haider. Ms. Shaista Rahman made all the arrangements for conducting the model entrance test. Hakeem Syed Ghousuddin, Dr. Abdul Mujeeb and Mr. Syed Khalid Mohiuddin Asad assisted in the arrangements. Mr. M.A. Hameed highlighted the examination system.
