Mobiles Phone Network Blocked, Once Again

The mobile phone network has been blocked once again in Kashmir region. As the mass protests continue in the Himalayan region for 34th consecutive day, the government has banned the mobile phone network. However, BSNL post-paid phones are working. After mass protests were triggered by the death of popular militant commander Burhan Wani on July 08, 2016, government banned mobile phone network in Kashmir. But the services were resumed almost a fortnight later that too only one sided, a pre-paid SIM user could only receive phones. On Thursday late evening, the phones abruptly stopped working once again. At least 57 civilians (+2 cops) have been killed by forces in last 34 days while over 6000 persons have been injured in current mass civil uprising. On Thursday evening, an old lady died when forces raided Bemina area of Srinagar. She died of shock.
