Mobile seized from militants shows video of infiltration bid

Srinagar, March 29: A video clipping showing a number of militants infiltrating into Jammu and Kashmir in Keran Sector of Kupwara was found in a mobile phone seized from a slain ultra, an Army official said here.

The Army, which had prior information about the infiltration bid, eliminated eight terrorists between March 24 and March 27, Brigadier General Staff 15th Corps Gurmeet Singh told reporters.

Five mobile phones were seized from the slain militants, besides other things, he said.

“The militants had also made a video of their movements during the infiltration bid on their mobile phone,” he said.

The video showed a number of militants wearing black cloaks with hoods walking on the snow-clad peaks.

He said it was a mixed group of militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba, Hizbul Mujahideen and Harkat-ul-Mujahideen.
