Mob lynching: Ehsan Jaffery’s daughter writes open letter to Shatrughan Sinha

Ahmedabad: Nashreen, daughter of former MP Ehsan Jafri, wrote an open letter to senior BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha and requested to raise voice against mob violence. She wrote that her father was brutally murdered in broad daylight, then she thought her country would never let that happen again to anyone. She says sleeping or awake the lynching incidents haunt me. She further said I didn’t see my father being killed but people told me how that happened. They told me how the mob dragged him out and cut him into pieces before the eyes of his own family and people. My father was 73 years old. For the past two years, I see how the mob lynching incidences are going viral. Some well-known people are encouraging the killers. Police are either helpless or don’t want to do anything.

She further writes to Shatrughan Sinha ‘as a father you could understand the feelings of a daughter who lost her father and as a human being the feelings of other helpless people who are losing their family member; while the country is looking all this in silence. The law and administration of the country seem helpless.

Ehsan Jaffery’s daughter requested Shatrughan Sinha to condemn it officially and to set up a committee in this connection and unite top leadership of the country to stop such incidents.
