Bhubaneswar, February 15: At least 10 people including five police personnel were injured in a clash after a road mishap in which a six-year-old girl was run over by a speeding tractor here today.
The incident took place at Haldipadia slum area here when the girl was returning from school.
Peeved over death of the girl, the locals attacked on a police patrolling police van and pelted stone on it leaving some cops including DCP Himansu Lal injured.
The clash between the locals and the cops continued for over one hour forcing the police to resort to lathi charge in order to disperse the mob, the DCP said.
