MNS turns ‘filmi’ with posters

Mumbai, June 13: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) is running out of ideas, at least on the publicity front. The latest posters put up by the party led by Raj Thackeray at Lower Parel are heavily inspired by the publicity posters of recent Bollywood release, Rajneeti.

With faces of its party leaders arranged in much like the way those of characters Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor and Manoj Bajpai were in last week’s release, MNS decided to drive a pun on the word ‘raj’, the Hindi word for politics that coincidentally is the first name of their party leader.

Rajneeti director Prakash Jha said, “I don’t have a patent on the poster design, and besides I haven’t seen the MNS poster to comment.”

Strangely, MNS leaders also claimed to have not had a look at the posters yet. spokesperson Shirish Parkar and leader Nitin Sardesai said, they hadn’t seen the poster, and had no idea.
