Four intern medicos were arrested in Durg today for allegedly creating a Multimedia Messaging Service message of a woman while delivering her baby in the District Hospital, police said. Police booked altogether 11 staff members of the hospital, including senior doctors, interns, nurses and ward boys present in the maternity ward on Monday night when the incident happened. A criminal offence was registered against the accused after the victim’s kin lodged complaints with the Collector, the Superintendent of Police and the Hospital’s Chief Medical Officer. Cellular phones of all the four, including two women, were seized. The victim’s family members, who were present during the delivery, alleged that the hospital staff made the video despite their protest and they were forced the leave the labour room. UNI
