Mahaa Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi has demanded that the officials of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) stop construction works in 9.37 acres of land under Survey nos 25, 27 and 28 in Parvathipuram village under Ghatkesar mandal of Ranga Reddy as the High Court had given interim injunction order in the land dispute case.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Samithi founder and State president Sunkapaka Devaiah Madiga said that one Mohammed Mir Syed Ali Khan and Mir Taqi Khan had registered a GPA in favour of Bakarapu Eshwaraiah on July 6, 2004. While Mohammed Mir Syed Ali Khan died in 2006, his son Mir Dilawar Ali Khan registered another GPA in favour of Nomula Somasekhar in 2008 without knowing about the earlier GPA executed by his father.
Consequently, Eshwaraiah approached the High Court to pass an order to stop construction works in the land by Somasekhar. Accordingly, the High Court issued interim injunction order suspending HMDA permission for constructions in the said land. However, Somasekhar was going ahead with construction work in utter violation of the court order attracting provisions of contempt of the court.
Eshwaraiah alleged that the HMDA officials, who were responsible to implement the High Court order, were colluded with Somasekhar and allowed the works to go on. He warned that if the HMDA officials failed to stop the construction works in the land within a week, they would lay a siege to HMDA office at Tarnaka.
Association leaders Vanam Narsimha, Ch. Linganna and Guru Swamy were also present. (NSS)
