Polling for two Graduates Constituencies in Telangana and two Teachers’ Constituencies in Andhra Pradesh passed off peacefully on Sunday.
According to the Chief Electoral Officer, of 296,318 electors, about 39% exercised their franchise for 31 candidates who were in fray for Mahabubnagar – Ranga Reddy – Hyderabad Graduates’ constituency. Similarly, nearly 51% of 281,138 voters casted their vote in favour of 22 candidates for Warangal – Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates’ constituency of Telangana Legislative Council.
The polling percentage for East-West Godavari and Krishna-Guntur Teachers’ Constituencies’ of Andhra Pradesh was 83% and 70% respectively. While 15 candidates were in fray from East-West Godavari Teachers’ constituency, there were six candidates for Krishna-Guntur Teachers’ Constituency.
The counting of votes for all the four constituencies will take place on March 25 from 8 AM. (INN)
