Newly elected MLC of TRS Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Friday visited historical Makkah Masjid and began his activities as MLC. After taking oath in the name of Allah at 11 am in the morning in Urdu language he performed Asr prayer in the historical Makkah Masjid. He told that the historical Makkah Masjid held a high place in our country. He told that he had vowed to offer prayer of gratitude (namaz-e-shukrana) at Makkah Masjid after taking oath. Makkah Masjid superintendent Mohammed Abdul Nayeem and manager Mohammed Abdul Mannan accompanied TRS MLC during his detailed visit to the masjid and briefed him the problems faced by the workers.
Later talking to Siasat correspondent Mr. Mahmood Ali regretted that despite being an architectural masterpiece and the fact that Makkah Masjid is counted among the important and most beautiful masajid of the country, state government and Minority Welfare Minister have little interest in the administration and revamp of the masjid.
