MLAs special court acquits Kishan Reddy

A Special task force court constituted to probe into the cases pertaining to MLAs and MPs dismissed a case involving BJP floor leader G Kishan Reddy against whom police filed a case in 2010.

The case pertains to participation of Kishan Reddy in a dharna in support of scholarship and fee-disbursement to students during Congress regime. The special task force court was set up on the direction of Supreme Court, which had asked the State government to constitute a special court to deal with cases involving public representatives. Kishan Reddy had participated in a dharna when he was president of the State BJP party. The special court, in its first judgement after its constitution, declared Kishan Reddy and two others as innocent. (NSS)
