Unknown miscreants hurled bombs and attacked the car of an MLA at Uluberia in Howrah district early today.
The police said the miscreants attacked the car of Trinamool Congress MLA of Uluberia North constituency Dr Nirmal Maji at Baburbag Colony when he was returning after visiting an injured party worker.
Maji was safe after the attack, sources said.
The party worker was injured in a clash during the panchayat polls on Friday.
The police later arrested one person and seized seven bombs, a sword and explosive materials from the area.
