MLA dies of heart stroke

Mahabubnagar, October 30: Mahabubnagar MLA Rajeswar Reddy (55) has died during the early hours of today, possibly due to a massive heart stroke. He was elected to the Assembly as an independent candidate in the 2009 general election. He has later joined the Congress and was continuing as an associate member. He is survived by wife and a daughter.

According to information, the MLA complained to his wife of uneasiness, when he woke up at around 5-15 in the morning to go for his usual walk. She has immediately called his personal physician Samuel. But Rajeswara Reddy has passed away before the doctor could arrive, at around 7-30 am. Doctor said he could have died because of cardiac arrest.

Rajeswara Reddy was a very popular leader. Till 2008, he was in BJP. However, he has joined the PRP when Chiranjeevi has launched the party, as he was a great fan of the actor. When he did not get PRP ticket in 2009, he has contested as an independent and won with over 5000 votes. He has however, joined the Congress and continued as an associate member of the ruling party. Rajeswara Reddy was loved by the people of his constituency, which has a fair size of Muslims. Though he was an active member of BJP, Muslims also voted him in 2009, because of his personal integrity.
