MLA alleges conspiracy

Hyderabad, March 14: Telugu Desam legislator K. S. Ratnam has alleged that there was a conspiracy behind the desecration of the statues of famous Telugu personalities and suspected the hand of the government in it.

At a press conference here on Sunday, he said the attempt of the government to suppress the ‘Million March’ had led to vandalism and accused Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy of remaining a silent spectator when the statues were felled. He said that some political parties for their selfish political ends had created trouble during the march in a bid to dilute Telangana movement.

Pointing out that formation of Telangana was possible only through political process not by individuals, he criticised those blaming TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu on the issue, saying Mr. Naidu was not against Telangana.
