Doctor Conrad Murray has been released from Los Angeles County Jail after serving two years, half of his four-year sentence, for manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.
The 60-year-old physician left the jail via a back exit under sheriff’s escort avoiding reporters and fans of Jackson on Monday, the CNN reported.
According to a spokesperson for the sheriff, Murray was driven away in a car for the “safety and security” of the jail.
The release came under a California state plan to reduce prison overcrowding. (ANI)
