Hyderabad, July 08: Kadapa MP Mr YS Jagan’s Yatra has evoked mixed reaction from the Congress party. Senior leader and Rajya Sabha member Mr V Hanumantha Rao has said that Mr Jagan had no charisma as a leader except YSR’s son. He said it was not proper for him to start the Yatra 10 months after YSR’s demise. He said: “Mr Jagan would have done his Yatra within two months of YSR’s demise, and it is also not correct for him to accept ‘flowers’ from the fans”.
The former minister Mr Mareppa, said that it was not proper for the leaders to oppose the ‘Jagan Yatra’. He said: “criticising Mr Jagan has become a fashion for the leaders who were not in a position to win even as a ZPTC member. He said it was not proper for the Chief Minister to advice the ministers and MLAs not to participate in Jagan’s Yatra. “The gap between the Chief Minister and Mr Jagan has been widening due to some leaders intervention”, he said.
MLA Mr Hareeshwar Reddy has said that the attitude of many leaders seems that they were trying to send Mr Jagan out of the party. Mr Jagan has ‘Charisma’ like his father. He said that mid-term elections might take place if the leaders continue behaving in the same manner.
