Misuse of power: Uma Bharti supporters allegedly stop train for her at Jhansi

In a blatant misuse of power, supporters of Union Minister for Water Resources Uma Bharti allegedly stopped a train as she was running late. The incident took place at the Jhansi railway station.

The alleged incident occurred on the intervening night of March 8 and March 9 at around 12.15 am when Gurudwara Express reached Jhansi station.

As the minister was late by few minutes her supporters allegedly pulled the chain to stop the train. The train could leave at 12.30 am, sources said.

Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu did not comment on the incident saying, “I don’t know about the incident, so I cannot comment about it. But we treat all passengers are equal. Our all passengers are VIP.”

SK Agarwal, Divisional Railways Manager of Jhansi Divison said it is a very common phenomenon. “Everyday 6-7 cases like this happens, I came to know that some video is there with RPF. I will go the control at 10 AM and see the whole video.”

When contacted Public Relation Officer of North Central Railway, Pavi Prakash said that he has no information about any such incident.
