Missing Tata Steel engineer traced

Jajpur (Orissa), September 29: The six-day mystery over the whereabouts of a missing Tata Steel engineer, who was suspected to have been abducted from a project site at Kalinga Nagar here, ended today with the police tracing him at his in-laws place in Karnataka’s Hubli district.

According to police, 37-year-old Mohammed Salimullah — hailing from Karanataka — had gone to supervise the company’s proposed hospital construction work at Maniapatala area on September 24 in a jeep along with the driver. However, after that there was no news of him, following which his family members had filed a missing report with the local police.

“Salimullah is at his father-in-law’s house in Jharbad in Hubli district of Karnataka. I had a telephonic conversation with him on his mobile phone this afternoon. He is quite ok,” Kalinga Nagar Inspector-in-Charge K C Mund said.
