Two minor girls which went missing after they left their house on July 3 were traced at Tirupati. A team of Saidabad police have shifted them to Hyderabad yesterday late night. The girls – Akhila, 10, and her sister Anjali, 6, from Singareni colony – were staying with uncle M Srinu, an auto driver.
Tthe sisters left the house mysteriously on Tuesday at around 6 pm. When they did not return till Wednesday afternoon, their uncle lodged a complaint with the Saidabad police. A missing case was booked and the police taken up investigation.
The minor girls were traced at railway station at Tirupati when the Deputy Station Master noticed them loitering at platform. They were immedaitely handed over to the local tirupati police.
“We received a call from the tirupati police about the presence of two sisters at railway station,a team was sent to obtaian details, they were bought to Hyderabad safely last night” Inspector Saidabad A Srinivasulu said.
According to the sources the police in their preliminary investigtion have found that Akhila’s uncle Srinu used to send her for ragpicking work for the whole day, vexed with the odd work she reportedly left house along with her sister Anjali.
