Missing realtor found murdered

Hyderabad, July 16: A realtor, who was allegedly kidnapped 10 days back from Boduppal, was found murdered in a house at Medipally on Friday. Property disputes with his brother is said to be one of the reasons for his killing. Police suspect the realtor, whose body was found in a highly decomposed state was killed the same day he was kidnapped.

Madhusudhan Reddy (34) was a realtor and resident of Maruthi Nagar in Boduppal. He is survived by his wife, Madhulatha Reddy and two girls aged eight and six years.

According to police, Madhusudhan Reddy left home on July 5. His wife, Madhulatha approached Medipally police the same day after he did not return home and alleged her husband’s younger brother, Jaganmohan Reddy might be behind the missing of her husband.

“Both brothers are having differences over property related matters. Both are fighting in courts also,’’ Medipally police inspector S Krishna Prasad said. Even as investigations were on, locals of Sai Aishwarya Nagar informed police on Friday about foul smell emanating from a house in the locality. Police forced open the doors of plot no 65 in the locality and found the highly decomposed body of a person, who was later identified as Madhusudhan Reddy.

“The victim bore an injury on the head and his neck was also slit,’’ the inspector said. The house in which the body was found, belongs to a retired military officer D Satyanarayana. According to police, Satyanarayana rented the house to Jaganmohan Reddy on June 26.

Police suspect Jaganmohan Reddy hatched a plan to kill his brother and took the house on rent.

It is also suspected that another close relative of the realtor, Ramchandra Reddy, is also involved in the killing.

Jaganmohan Reddy is absconding and a hunt has been launched to nab him.
