City police finally found the 16-year-old Inter first year girl from Moghulpura who went missing a few weeks ago near Malakpet on Monday morning.
According to police the girl was allegedly abducted by a teenager whom she met at her exam centre two months ago. Police traced the two teenagers at Malakpet and handed over the girl to her parents.
Moghulpura police said the girl went missing after she left her house at Moghulpura on Friday morning. Based on the complaint of the girl’s family members, a case was registered under section 363 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and a search operation was launched.
Police tracked the cellphones of the duo. “We traced them at Malakpet. The girl was handed over to her parents and we are sending the boy for age determination test as his parents are claiming that he is only 17 years old”, said Moghulpura inspector A Ganga Ram.
Parents of the girl alleged that she was sexually assaulted by her friend and police have sent her for medical examination. “After the medical examination, we will alter the case, if required,” the inspector said.
