Missing HDFC Vice president found murdered, cab driver among suspects

Mumbai: Five days after HDFC Bank’s Vice-president went missing from Kamala Mills compound was found murdered in Kalyan on today.

The Mumbai police are reported to have caught the culprit behind the murder of Siddharth Sanghvi, a 20-year-old driver who was allegedly hired by other suspects to kill 39-year-old Vice-President, HT reported.

According to Police reports, Siddharth went missing from his office in Kamala Mills compound on Wednesday. The next day, his phone was switched on for a few minutes in Navi Mumbai whereas his car with Siddharth’s bloodstains and a knife was found in Airoli.

The Mumbai Police arrested driver- Sarfaraz Shaikh for carrying out the alleged murder as a result of “professional rivalry as he was promoted recently” who revealed four suspects including a woman were involved in the plan.

Siddharth Sanghvi was a resident of Malabar Hill in south Mumbai and was living with his wife and an eight-year-old son.

Meanwhile, six police teams have been formed to carry out the murder investigations.
