Missing explosives: 5 Guj traders arrested

Dholpur (Raj), December 22: Five Gujarat-based businessmen were today arrested by the Rajasthan police for their alleged involvement in the missing explosives case here and produced in a local court which remanded them five-day judicial custody till December 27.

The CID crime branch of state police, which is investigating the case, arrested Namji Bhai, Sunil Kumar, Jitendra Tank, Giridhari Singh and Lalit Gangwani from Rajkot and brought them here to be produced in the court of Munsif Magistrate, Dy SP (CID-CB) Rajendra Singh Shekhawat said.

They were charged with making payment to a Madhya Pradesh-based businessman in connection with the case.

Several trucks carrying tonnes of industrial explosive went missing when they were on way to Madhya Pradesh from Rajasthan Explosive and Chemical Limited Factory here in August.
