Miscreants sprinkle ‘kum kum’ in Mujahedpur Lake Masjid

Communal elements are making all efforts to convert an old Qutub Shahi masjid into temple. The 500 year old masjid is located in the middle of Mujahedpur Lake at a distance of 85 kms from the city. A report was published in Siasat on October 3 in this connection, which stated that miscreants tried to erect saffron flag on Masjid tomb. Masjid Committee and local Muslims along with Osman bin Alhajari president Deccan Waqf Protection society protested and made the police remove the flag.

But unfortunately even after the deployment of police pickets, ‘kum kum’ and ‘geru’ are bring sprinkled in Masjid premises by threatening the local people. It is said that signatures were taken by Muslims on a written statement which stated that this is an ‘attamma gudi’.

Osman bin Mohammed Alhajari and his friends told that president Masjid Committee Mohammed Azmat and his friends were being threatened and they were socially boycotted which had created a wave of fear and terror among Muslims of Mujahedpur. The village has 40 houses of Muslims.

On the direction of Siasat editor Mr. Zahed Ali Khan, Osman bin Mohammed Alhajari made representation with CEO Waqf Board Mr. Asadullah Baig and Special Officer Mr. Mohammed Jalaluddin Akber after which a special team of Waqf Board visited Mujahedpur Lake masjid and offered prayer led by Osman Alhajari. Before that ‘kum kum’ and ‘geru’ spread over the inside area of Masjid was cleaned.
