A 34-year-old businesswoman from Madhya Pradesh was allegedly robbed off her purse containing cash and valuables worth Rs 1.22 lakh by two motorcycle borne robbers as she was travelling in an autorickshaw with her husband in suburban Andheri, the police said today. The incident took place around 11.20 pm yesterday on Linking Road when the victim Priti Goyal, the Indore-based businesswoman was traveling with her husband Patik in an auto rickshaw towards Juhu, the DN Nagar police said. The couple was returning after having dinner at Infinity Mall in Andheri’s Lokhandwala area, the police said. “When the couple’s vehicle reached close to Ganesh Chowk on Linking Road, two men on a motorbike appeared on Priti’s side of the autorickshaw. The pillion rider, then tried to snatch her purse. When she resisted, he pushed her and snatched it,” the police said. The accused then fled the spot with the purse containing Rs 32,000 in cash, a gold ring worth Rs 60,000 and a Blackberry mobile handset worth Rs 30,000. PTI
