Miscreants desecrate place of worship in old city

Tension prevailed in the Moghalpura area after miscreants again desecrated a temple by throwing some parts of an animal. The incident had taken place early in the morning when miscreants had thrown head and legs of an animal in the temple premises.

The priest of the temple Pandit Prakash Shukla in his written complaint has alleged that today morning at 5:00am while he was opening the gate of the Peepalehswar Hanuman Temple located at Chowk Maidan he noticed meat and parts of the animal near the ganesh idol which is fixed near the entrance of the temple. He also alleged that miscreants had caused damage to the Hanuman idol and breached the holiness of the temple. The priest Shukla also alleged that the same temple has been attacked in the past and the police has failed to provide security and did not installed the CCTV cameras.

After the news of desecration of the temple spread, huge gathering of devotees and general public gathered forcing the police to mobilize its forces. The senior police officials also rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the mob.

However the Moghalpura police have registered a case under various sections of IPC and are ivestgating.
