Miscreants bash up hotel guests, staff over bill

Hyderabad, 13 May: It is said that in there is strength in numbers. But the original meaning of this proverb never imagined that the number game might lead to youngsters taking undue advantage.

At the Imperial Hotel, Abids on Thursday, a gang of 20-25 youths walked in at lunch time, ordered the waiter to call the owner and told him that they would have lunch and settle the bill at some other time. The hotel owner naturally refused.

According to the owner, it was then that the gang started to hit at him, waiters and vandalize the furniture.

Things did not end there, The gang thrashed everyone, including the customer of the hotel. They then left the place leaving it in shambles.

The police, when called in, tried to identify the miscreants but thus far with no success.

Two hotel employees admitted to Osmania General Hospital with severe injuries. A case has been registered by the Abids police and investigation is on.
