Hyderabad, February 28: In an incident that took place at Karman Ghat a group of miscreants attacked Imam of a mosque and left him injured and also hurled stones on the mosque.
According to details a miscreant was passing urine at the main gate of Masjid Mir Saheb looking to that Imam of the mosque Syed Rizwan forbade him from doing so. The miscreant got angry with the Imam and abused him.
Eye witnesses told that the miscreant was identified as Jahangeer Yadav who was in drunken state. He brought a group of 15 to 20 persons along with him and hurled stones at the mosque as a result the windowpanes were broken.
Besides this the drunken miscreants also assaulted the Imam Syed Rizwan and left him severely injured.
On receiving the report the LB Nagar police reached the spot the CRPF was called for and police patrolling was enhanced in the area.
MBT corporator Mr. Amjad Ullah Khan Khalid demanded to take immediate action against the offenders.
