Misbah confident of Pakistan’s good show against England

Karachi:Expressing confidence ahead of his side’s upcoming tour to England, Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq insisted that the current batting line-up is far more experienced than the team that toured the country in 2010.

The 17-member squad named by the new chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq comprises only three players from the last English tour in 2010.

The upcoming four-match series will see Misbah don Pakistan’s Test cap on the British Isles for the first time.

Downplaying the presence of Pakistan rookies touring the country, Misbah said that his side are in a good position at the moment, adding that the results would definitely be better, the Dawn reported.

The 42-year-old, however, refused to rule out the threat England pacers would pose to the Pakistan batsman and, therefore, called on his side to remain well-disciplined against them.

The right-hander believes that the series could prove to be historical for both sides, adding that Pakistan would try their best to put up a good show on the tour.

The tour will also see former spot-fixer Mohammad Amir make his Test return at Lord’s, where he committed the crime.

Pakistan will tour England for a four-match Test series and a five-match ODI series, starting from July 14 at the Lord’s.(ANI)
