Additional Member (Works), Railway Board A K Gupta today advised the senior engineers of South Central Railway (SCR), Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) and L&T Metro to minutely analyse every aspect before starting Metro Rail crossings works over the Indian Railway tracks in view of continuous train movement. Mr Gupta who was here to review HMR works, stated that as a policy, Railway Board has now agreed to permit the Metro Railways to choose the type of girder they want to use (steel or concrete girders) to cross the railway tracks. This a good relief for the Metro projects, he said. Mr Gupta also inspected the Metro Rail works between Nagole-Mettuguda, Uppal depot works and segment casting at Uppal casting yard along with HMR Managing Director NVS Reddy and senior engineers of SCR.
