President MPJ Mr. Hamed Mohammed Khan in his press note lamented that the Minority Welfare Department which is working under direct supervision of chief minister of Telangana is working for name’s sake without workers. The number of workers in Minority Welfare department is 35, majority of whom are 4th class employees while some workers from other departments are working on deputation.
Government had allocated a budget of Rs. 1034 cr for the financial year 2014-15. Now that the financial year is coming to an end only Rs. 173 cr have been spent for minority welfare so far. Mr. Hamed Mohammed Khan claimed that government was toying with Muslims in the name of welfare.
