Who is the secretary of Minority Welfare Department? This is the question which has become an unsolved puzzle for officials and workers of Minority Welfare Department because the officer whom they are considering the secretary is not authorized to sign the files. Thus the department is being kept dangling between two IAS officers. For the past two days the department is without any secretary. No officer is ready to sign on the files due to technical negligence of the government.
Mr. Ahmed Nadeem (IAS) Commissioner Excise Probation who was given additional charge of secretary Minority Welfare was on the long leave from September 22 to October 4. Although he has resumed the charge but the government has not assigned him the charge of Minority Welfare Department. As per the rules after resuming work after a long leave government issues fresh orders regarding additional charge, but no such orders were issued in case of Mr. Ahmed Nadeem.
Interestingly DR. T Radha IAS who was given additional charge as secretary Minority Welfare Department in the absence of Mr. Ahmed Nadeem refuses to sign the files saying that now that Mr. Ahmed Nadeem has joined the duty he is no more authorized to sign the files.
