Minority Welfare Day to be observed on birth anniversary of Maulana Azad

Hyderabad: Government has decided to observe Minority Welfare Day on the occasion of birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. Minority Welfare Department is finalising various programmes in this connection. It is proposed to organise a function at Nizam College Ground on November 11. Students of all Minority Residential Schools will participate in the programme. Society for Residential Schools will play important role in this function.

Every year government also presents Maulana Abul Kalam Azad National Award on the occasion of Minority Welfare Day. Personalities rendering remarkable services in various fields will be selected for awards. Various stalls will be set up through which performance of Minority Welfare Department will be highlighted.

Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel reviewed the arrangements of celebrations to be held on November 11.
