Minority Welfare Minister Mohammed Ahmedullah has hoped that the Minority budget for the year 2013-14 would be the historic budget of the state. He told that he is trying to get at least Rs 1420 crore budget for minority welfare.
Mr. Ahmedullah who is on his Kadapa visit told Siasat that for the first time in the history of Andhra Pradesh, government has focused its special attention towards minority welfare and has agreed to allocate 1000 crore from the budget 2013-14. He maintained that Finance minister Ram Narayan Reddy has also assured in the review meet that if minority institutions spend the amount properly until third trimester then he would release additional Rs. 100 to 150 crore.
