Secretary Minority Welfare Ahmed Nadeem and Director Minority Welfare Mohammed Jalaluddin Akber convened a review meeting with the officials of various Minority institutions in connection with preparation of budget for minority welfare. Government has already announced a budget of Rs. 1000 crore for minority welfare. Keeping this in view officials of Minority Welfare Department are busy in preparation of budget. New schemes like financial assistance for education and for small businesses to poor minorities are being mulled over.
Nearly 60 percent budget will be spent for educational activities while the remaining 40 percent will be spent on economic and social upliftment.
