Minority panel welcomes setting up Punjabi academy

Uttarakhand Minority Commission (UKMC) has welcomed the decision for setting up a Punjabi academy in the state by the Uttarakhand government.

Chairman of UKMC Narinderjit Singh Bindra today said setting up Punjabi and Urdu academy will help minorities to grow in the state.

UKMC will seek help from Punjabi University, Patiala for the academy, he said adding, multi-sectoral development programme for welfare of minorities are being implemented by Uttarakhand government.
