Congress spokesman Feroz Khan declared the Minority Convention held on Wednesday, at Gandhi Bhawan as a failure and said that ignoring the development, welfare and employment of minorities in general and Muslims in particular, only the government has been warned for obtaining posts. He reiterated that the time has been wasted in supporting Waqf property dealings.
Issuing a press note Mr. Feroz Khan stated that Muslims’ issues have not been covered in the convention. Though important leaders of minorities and Congress were present in the convention and it was hoped that the convention would be productive. It was hoped that plans would be finalized regarding development and employment of Muslims. But unfortunately the convention was dragged on with traditional and sentimental speeches having no productive goal.
