The re-constituted A.P. Minority Commission, headed by Chairman Abid Rasool Khan, the Vice Chairman and members, after assuming their charge, met Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and expressed gratitude. They assured the Chief Minister of dedicated service to all Minority communities and said they would discharge their duties to the best of their ability.
The Chairman of the Commission said utmost importance would be given to education, social uplift and welfare of all downtrodden and minority communities and financial empowerment, especially of minority poor women by extending financial assistance from the Government Minority Commission and other Government bodies. He also emphasised the need to take all steps to maintain the social ethos of Minority communities with other communities at large and for peaceful social co-existence in the State.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence in the newly appointed members, who represent all Minority communities of the State and come from different professions. He said the government would extend its cooperation and support to the Minority Commission in all its endeavours for the betterment of the Minorities. The members also individually interacted with the Chief Minister and expressed their ideas and plans.
